The EIS-ANYTHING Category
Enter the Eis-Anything style by brewing ANY BJCP Style of beer, and then "Eis"-ing it. Riffing on the theme of Eisbocks, any BJCP style can be iced and entered in this category. Beers will be judged on the base style as well as how the 'eising' affected the base beer.Enter "Special Category 29" on the web page, or indicate "Style 29 - EIS-ANYTHING" on paper entry forms.

Best Traditional UK beer Category
The first year for another 'special' category. This year follows the theme of beers from the United Kingdom. These styles included in this special category are:- Category 8 - English Pale ale
- Category 9 - Scottish and Irish ale
- Category 11 - English Brown ale
- Category 12 - Porter (12C. Baltic porters were first made in the UK for export)
- Category 13 - Stout (not including 13E. American stout)
- Category 14a - English IPA
- Category 19a and b - Old ale and English Barley Wine
