This Year's Theme
11 years, now...what's the gift we get for that!? I think beer, yeah.That will do. But not just any beer. Our Bumble says HOPPY beer. Bumblehopped! What's that you say!? Bumblehopped!!! The theme for this year is everything hoppy! Our good old bumble has gotten into the spirit and is looking his very best for this event. This year it will be no less spectacular than the previous years. Each entrant can expect the very high level of feedback and killer swag as usual. You'll also have the fastest turn around possible for your scoresheets as we have the Sunday post office at MSP to send them the next day. Oh yeah, we listened and will again post our results directly after the awards ceremony...who knows, they might even be blogging live!!! Also, the entry window has been extended to go both before the holiday season and after it giving plenty of time to ship or locations to drop off.
Volunteers
For you volunteers, and if you aren't one you really gotta get on board, the judging will be at Grumpys-Roseville again as its a great place with killer beer and food. We'll be doing a lot of the really cool stuff we always do...plus a few new angles. You'll be wined and dined like no other competition in the nation plus your standard commemorative beer and glass. This year for our lunchtime seminar speaker series we'll have one of our good friends, Nathan 'Explosion' Smith, from the Left Coast coming to give us the ins and outs of making winning Left coast D/IPAs. 'Proper D/IPAs' as he says. We are lucky enough again to have our close buddy Gordon 'Grand Master of the Infinite' Strong coming to chat about his new book, Brewing Better Beer. Great book, great dood. The massively popular Friday night Piss-up will be back and better than ever. This year we'll have a fancy glassware for a swap-O-rama. There will be a huge competition with blind beer tastings featuring newly released hops and as always, the ever awesome Cellar beer event will be the hallmark of the evening.The Banquet
The banquet is always a great time. Last year we were full and seats, again, are sure to sell out quickly so get your tickets ASAP. You again get a commemorative glass, meal, beers and the debauchery that follows.The Awards
The awards show starts immediately after the banquet and by immediately I mean as soon as we can. Anyone who entered or volunteered is welcome, including your +1's. Like last year we'll have a ginormous raffle which tickets can be purchased at the event. If you want some free raffle tickets each non-perishable food item brought in gets you one! We'll also have the silent auction which usually ends up not being silent as friends get passionate when bidding on neat stuff that you just can't buy...not easily anyway.Giving Back
